SNOWIE

Approximate Age: 15 years

Weight: 8 lbs

Gender: Female

Possible Breed: MinPin

Miss Snow found herself abandoned at the Carson Shelter in Los Angeles on March 16th due to 'old age'. According to her medical records, her owner was homeless and only had her for 2 weeks. We can only imagine the pain and confusion this poor grandma girl had endured before meeting her. She was blind, deaf, missing most of her teeth, missing 1/2 of her right ear, could barely walk, and covered in mammary tumors! When she did walk, she mostly walked in circles. This could have been neurological, behavioral from being stuck in a cage, or a little of both. We kept checking up on her and couldn't stand knowing that no one else was coming for her. On March 28th, we drove out to LA to bust her out of there and get her into a warm bed where she belonged! We couldn't help but take her straight to Rosie's Dog Beach on the way back to Vegas.. That day? We saw Snowie RUN towards that water. She was in total paradise feeling the warm sunshine on her skin and smelling the fresh air! Unfortunately, once we got Snowie to our local Vet, we discovered her mammary tumors were cancerous and had already spread to her lungs. We were able to give Snowie 5 full days of new adventures before helping her cross The Rainbow Bridge. We made sure she forgot about any other life she had before. We were able to give her food, kisses, gentle touches, family, friends, and love.. She still gave us so much more. Until we meet again, SoCal Girl!
